Nestled in an elevated position with stunning views over the Exe Valley, Kennard Hall is a beautiful Victorian house, lovingly restored in 2022. 🏡 With room for up to 24 guests in 9 spacious bedrooms, it’s the perfect setting for unforgettable big family holidays, special celebrations, refined hen weekends, and impressive corporate away days. The house is beautifully styled with modern country house elegance and is arranged over four floors. Inside, you’ll find a movie room 🍿, private bar 🍸, kitchen, dining room 🍴, drawing room, snug, and a games room 🎮. Outside, there’s a large garden, an outdoor heated pool (available from Easter to the end of October*), hot tub, and 36 acres of parkland to explore. 🌳

Originally built as a hunting lodge for an MP, Kennard Hall has an interesting history, having served as a nursing home during WWII, a private girls' school, and later, a family home. A short drive away is the peaceful town of Bampton, with local stores, a charming butcher, baker, and the award-winning Swan Hotel 🏨. A little further is Tiverton, where you can hop on a horse-drawn barge for a serene cruise along the Grand Western Canal 🚤. Keep an eye out for swans, moorhens, and if you're lucky, a kingfisher 🦆! After your canal adventure, treat yourself to cream tea at the Canal Tea Rooms or grab a drink at Duck's Ditty floating bar 🍹.

If you're in the mood for exploring, head to Dulverton, a charming town with lovely riverside walks and cozy pubs 🍻. Dulverton is also the gateway to Exmoor National Park 🌄, where you can discover wild heaths, Exmoor ponies 🐴, and picturesque spots like Tarr Steps, the ancient clapper bridge over the River Barle, and Watersmeet, where you can enjoy homemade cake in the old fishing lodge 🍰. For the more adventurous, hike up Dunkery Beacon, the highest point in Exmoor, for breathtaking views 🏞️. Don’t forget to visit Porlock Weir, where you can watch the boats or take a stroll up the wooded cliffs to Culbone Church, the smallest parish church in England ⛪.

For a classic family beach day, head to Minehead 🏖️. With its traditional seaside charm, enjoy a stroll along the esplanade, some fish and chips, and make sandcastles in the soft sand. Blue Anchor Beach is great for families with its long stretch of sandy shore, while surf enthusiasts should head to Croyde and Woolacombe for some of the best waves 🌊. For history lovers, visit Knightshayes, Dunster Castle, and Hestercombe Gardens 🌺. A trip to Exeter to see the iconic Gothic Cathedral and medieval underground passages is also a must 🏰.
